Voters don’t have to worry about their safety while voting here

Hartington — Cedar County voters don’t have to sacrifice safety for patriotism.

While some states have expressed concerns about voter safety during the pandemic, Cedar County voters don’t have to worry.

Cedar County established itself during the last election as an all-mail county, which means the County no longer utilizes polling places to cast ballots.

Cedar County Clerk David Dowling said all registered voters will automatically have a ballot mailed to them. They will be mailed from the Courthouse on April 22, he said.

The ballots must be returned to the County Clerk’s office no later than 8 p.m. Tuesday May 12.

The return ballots already have postage on them, but voters can put them in the drop box at the north side of the courthouse if they choose not to put them in the mail.

Sample ballots can be found in this issue of the Cedar County News.
