SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Vivian Elaine Loecker, 71, Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Fordyce, died March 20, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Village, Sioux Falls, SD, surrounded by her family after her battle with Alzheimer’s. Mass of Christian Burial was March 26 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Menominee, with Fr. Craig Loecker and Fr. Jim Keiter officiating. Visitation and a wake service were March 25 at Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home, Yankton, and continued one hour prior to the Funeral Mass at the church. Family burial will be at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Vivian was born March 22, 1952, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, S.D., into the loving family of Anthony Martin and Leona Elizabeth (Lange) Haberman, and grew up in Menominee. Vivian attended grade school in Menominee and graduated from Yankton High School. In addition to raising her children, she had various jobs throughout her life with some of her fondest memories at Sunshine and Roger’s Pharmacy.

Vivian married Dennis Loecker May 4, 1974, and they were blessed with four children, Joe, Jill, Jackie and Jeremy. Vivian enjoyed doing word finds, going on walks, watching the finches, and caring for her grandchildren.

Vivian is survived by her husband, Dennis, Sioux Falls, S.D.; and her four children and spouses, Joe (Kelle), Yankton, S.D. (their children Andrew (Emily), great granddaughter McKenna and Brady (Courtney), great grandchildren Kacyn and Ainsley); Jill (Steven) Sapp, Hooper; Jackie (Glenn) Scotting, Humboldt, S.D.; and Jeremy (Beth), Sioux Falls, S.D. (their children, Samuel (Andrew), great-grandson, Thomas; Elijah and Gabriel); siblings, Mary Ellen Heflin, Wilfred (Joyce) Haberman, Walter (Janice) Haberman, Arlene (Gary) Heine, Lois Koelder, Elmer (Lora) Haberman, and Inez Foster; sisters-in-law, Joan Haberman, Jerrie Haberman and Sharon Haberman; and brother-in-law, El Koeler; in-laws, Sandra Loecker, Judith Ruhanna, Glenn (Mary) Loecker, Gladys Jones, Don (Denise) Loecker, Marvin (Debbie) Loecker, Paulette (John) Dreesen and Dave (Sheila) Loecker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Leona Haberman; brothers, James Haberman, Darold Haberman and Vernon Haberman; brothers-in-law, Tim Foster and Gary Heflin; in-laws, Emil and Vera Loecker, Merle Loecker, Larry Loecker and Arnie Jones.
