Officers conduct traffic enforcement and give warning for speeding and citation for speeding in separate incidents.
Fertilizer reportedly spilled on roadway south of Highway 81 and 84 junction. Highway lane blocked during cleanup. Trucking business owner calls upset that the fertilizer will damage his trucks and loads, saying he was going to take pictures and someone would be liable. Business owner calls back later in the day to ask who to send his insurance claim to and dispatch advises him of the company with the spilled load.

May 11: Fire reported in trees near Fordyce turnoff, Crofton fire department responds, decide to let it burn for now with rain on the way. About 10 hours later, the fire reportedly rekindled but is under control.

May 12: Woman calls and asks to talk to the sheriff who is unavailable. “Well, he’s probably investigating something I’m gonna get blamed for,” caller says.
Tornado watch issued for Cedar County.
Woman calls to say her vehicle ran out of gas and is parked on Highway 57 off of the road, she will come back for it.
Man requests a vehicle inspection.
Suspicious driver and activity reports two miles north of Highway 57 where woman driving erratically, pulled over and got out of vehicle in pajamas, started walking away from car and then went back to it and drove off. Deputy makes contact with woman who reported she was trying to catch up to her grandmother who had her phone on top of her car. The phone fell off so she was picking it up from the side of the road.
Randolph and Belden severe weather spotters dispatched for potential tornado. Fordyce sent out for spotting.
