Vaden attended Craig High School and graduated in 1947. Following High School, Vaden served in the Army Reserves. He married Ardith Begley Jan. 16, 1955. They had three children, Don, Ray and Rita. His love was his family and spending time with them, including having all the grandchildren for summertime visits. He spent his entire life farming and raising livestock. His favorite time of the year was during calving season and watching the new babies running around. He enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren and other youth in sports and other activities, especially wrestling. He was a big fan of Nebraska football, volleyball and, of course, the Backyard Farmer on PBS, even though Ardie always did the gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lloyd Chester and Vernon; brothers-in-law, Bill Anderson, Bob Corbin and Jack Begley; sister-in-law, Joan Maxwell.
