U.S. Air Force Heartland of America band performing at WSC, other area concerts scheduled

WAYNE — Raptor, the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band’s rock group, will perform at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 20, at Wayne State College. The concert, free and open to the public, will be held in Ramsey Theatre, located in the Peterson Fine Arts Building.

In this salute to “The Good Ole Days,” Raptor will feature soft rock, R&B, pop, and country music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. The members of Raptor proudly showcase the Air Force’s excellence, precision, and innovation in every performance.

Highlights of their 75-minute program will include songs made famous by The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Kenny Rogers, John Denver, Queen and many more. The concert will conclude with a special musical tribute to all military service members, past and present, who have selflessly served our country.

Other concerts, also free and open to the public, scheduled in the area are 7:30 p.m., Oct. 21, Johnny Carson Theatre, Norfolk High School, Norfolk; 2 p.m., Oct. 22, Concert Hall at Columbus High School, Columbus; and 7 p.m., Oct. 23, Nielsen Community Center, West Point.
