Throwback Thursday: HNS to share Supt.

HARTINGTON — Steps are almost in place for Hartington and Crofton Schools to share a superintendent for the next school year.

The Hartington School Board passed a resolution Monday to negotiate a contract for an inter-local agreement with the Crofton School District.

Randy Anderson, who has served as superintendent
at the Crofton School for
the past 30 years, will split his time between the two schools.

The resolution passed
by the local school board members said it was in the best interest of the school to reduce administrative cost by sharing a superintendent.

“We have taken a look at what other schools are paying a superintendent when he is covering two school districts,” said Board member Colin Kathol.

The salary for the superintendent will be negotiated within the next few weeks.
