LINCOLN-Three of the four top scorers in this year’s Class D1 State Tournament come from the Lewis and Clark Conference.

And three of the Top 10 wear LCC uniforms.

Noah Schutte will have a target on his back when he enters this year’s State Basketball tournament. The Bears’ 6-4 senior leads the entire class with 658 points so far this season for an average of 23.5 per game.

He also leads the Elite Eight field in rebounds with 368 on the year so far.

Another area player, Osmond’s Keaton Timmerman is the second biggest gun in this year’s Class D1 Tourney. He has dropped in 461 points. He’s also big on the boards, pulling down 216 on the season for the Tigers.

Top-seeded North Platte St. Pats is led by Jack Heisse, who knocked 457 points this season - the third highest total in the class.

Jason Sjuts of second-seeded Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family is the fourth scorer in the class. He has connected for 424 points on the year.

Skits is followed by LCC’s Ty Erwin, who has connected for 397 points so far this season. Another Bear, sophomore Evan Haisch, is tied for ninth on the Top 10 list.
