Steffen earns “1000 Books Before Kindergarten”

HARTINGTON — Lucia Steffen, daughter of Robert and Laura Steffen, is the latest recipient of the “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” award. She received a medal, a certificate of completion, her final prize and a free book from the library for this accomplishment. Lucia is 4 years old and will attend Kindergarten at Holy Trinity Grade School the fall of 2025.
Lucia likes coming to the library because of the books. Her favorite ONES are the Pinkalicious series. She also likes StoryTime with Miss Kim.
Awesome job to mom and dad for instilling the love of books and reading at a young age.
