Speaker To Address Safer Schools at Wayne State College, March 25

WAYNE –Kim Stabbe of Sandy Hook Promise, a nonprofit organization working for safer schools, will speak at 4 p.m. on March 25 in Gardner Hall, Room 114 at Wayne State College. There is no admission charge. The public is welcome.

The Wayne State Women’s Rugby Club will host the event.  Stabbe will speak about the various programs offered for communities and schools to help raise awareness on how to identify, intervene, and help at risk individuals before they harm themselves or others. Stabbe will talk especially about preventing shootings in schools.

Stabbe is a member of the Sandy Hook Promise, a nonprofit organization that strives to educate schools and communities all throughout the nation about ways to prevent gun violence, especially in places of learning. More information can be found at: https://www.sandyhookpromise.org.
