Several area wrestlers already guaranteed trip to State
A trio of Randolph wrestlers will be competing for the District title later today at Fremont.
All three wrestlers — Brandon Bloomquist, Noah Scott and Alex Schmit — are already guaranteed a trip to state next week in Omaha.
Several Cedar Catholic wrestlers also have a shot at State.
Ethan Koch has also qualified for State already. He will battle Ty Heimes of Battle Creek in the 152-pound championship. Both will advance to State, reguardless of the outcome.
Cedar's Eric Hoesing also earned a trip to State. He will wrestle for the 182-pound District title this afternoon.
Morgan Koch, Kerby Hochstein and Turner Korth all have a shot at qualifying for State, yet. They will both have to win one more match in order to qualify to compete in the third-place match. All four of the top District finishers qualify for State.
