HARTINGTON — The Cedar County Ag Society announced this week, they plan to hold a scaled down version of the Cedar County Fair this year.

The modified event will take place Thursday, July 16 - Sunday, July 19.

Due to the restrictions established by the Nebraska Department of Health there will be changes to the event schedule, capacity and event procedures.

Several events and activities had to be cancelled, including:

Cedar County Fair Rodeo

Talent Show

Midway

Hamburger Feed

Old Time Fiddlers

Ice Cream Social

Peddle Pull

Open Class Exhibits

A statement on the Cedar County Fair website by fair organizers said, “We are excited to be able to move forward at a level that is safe and fun for all our volunteers, performers and attendees.”

At this time the two country music concerts planned for the Fair are still planned.

Lanco is slated to perform Friday, July 17, while Jimmy Allen will take the stage on Saturday night.

As of now, the tractor pull, sand volleyball tournament, cornhole tournament, and barrel racing will still take place. Ag Society members

Ag Society members noted that events may be cancelled if a minimum number of ticket sales cannot be reached by July 1.

If these events are canceled in the unforeseeable future, refunds for the ticket cost will be issued to the purchaser.
