Ruby L. Hansen

COLERIDGE — Ruby L. Hansen, 95, Coleridge, died Oct. 9, 2022, at Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge.

Funeral services were Oct. 13 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Coleridge, with Dick Bloomquist officiating.

Burial was at Lawn Ridge Cemetery, Coleridge.

Pallbearers were Roger Hahne, Kevin Hahne, Doug Hahne, Aaron Hansen, Shawn Swan and Josh Medina.

Visitation was Wednesday, at the church, and continued Thursday one hour prior to services. Arrangements were under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge.

Ruby Lorraine was born May 31, 1927, in Coleridge, to Clarence Eugene and Mary (Dresden) Peck. She grew up in Coleridge and graduated from Coleridge High School in 1944. Ruby married Harold August Hansen Oct. 31, 1947, in Omaha. She and Harold lived on the farm from 1947-1955, and then they moved into Coleridge. Harold died Aug. 4, 2000, at the age of 83. Ruby lived at Embers Assisted Living prior to moving to Park View Haven Nursing Home.

Ruby was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Women’s Circle and the Coleridge American Legion Auxiliary, and always enjoyed having coffee with her many friends.

Ruby is survived by her two sons, Randy (Mildred “Freddie”) Hansen, Gretna, and Rick Hansen, Omaha; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; and 13 brothers and sisters.
