OSMOND — Services for Rebecca L. “Becky” Kuhlman, 68, Osmond will be 10:30 a.m., May 30, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Osmond, with Rev. Glen Emery officiating. Burial is in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Osmond. Pallbearers will be Chad Beckmann, John Bruegman, Brian Bruegman, Kory Kuhlman, Michael Kuhlman and Leif Meyer. Visitation was Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Osmond. Becky died May 23, 2018, at Sandford Medical Center, Sioux Falls, S.D. Stonacek Memorial Chapel, Osmond, is in charge of the arrangements. The daughter of Robert and Camilla (Menkens) Bruegman was born Aug. 2, 1949, in Osmond. She was baptized Oct. 2, 1949, and confirmed March 22, 1964, both at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomfield. Becky grew up in rural Center and attended Center High School through eighth grade, when the school closed. She then continued her education at Bloomfield Public Schools, graduating from Bloomfield High School in 1967. She graduated from Methodist College of Nursing, Omaha, in 1970. She moved to Osmond in 1970 and was a registered nurse at Osmond General Hospital until 1995. Becky married Lyle Kuhlman April 24, 1971, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomfield. Becky and Lyle went into business with Richard and Deb Bruegman in 1992 and purchased the bowling alley in Osmond. They owned and operated Spare Time Alley until 2017, when they sold the business. Becky was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Ladies’ Aid, Osmond Hospital Auxiliary, Osmond Venture Resources and Osmond Community Club, serving a term as president for the latter. She enjoyed playing softball, pitching for Wednesday night women’s league and mixed leagues, bowling in Monday night women’s league and mixed leagues for many years even before owning Spare Time Alley, gardening, crafts, cooking, playing slot machines, attending school and sporting events for her children and grandchildren, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her spouse, Lyle Kuhlman, Osmond; two sons, Scott and Sherri Kuhlman, Norfolk, and Daniel and Hillary Kuhlman, Laurel; eight grandchildren, Zach (Sharon), Derek (Danica), Levi (Nikki), Austin, Seth, Kaylea, Reggan and Carly; six great-grandchildren, Lexi, Jace, Hailey, Reid, Natalie and Kinley; her siblings, Richard (Deb) Bruegman, Pierce; Rosi (Bruce) Meyer, Dayton, Nev.; Rita (Leon) Beckmann, Center; Ray (Dana) Bruegman, Omaha; and Robert (Lynette) Bruegman, Lincoln; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jack and Karna Koepke, Circle Pine, Minn.; Leon and Sandra Kuhlman, Randolph; Neil and Marlene Kuhlman, David City; Donel and Paulette Kuhlman, Bennet; and Dale and Deb Kuhlman, Creighton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Camilla Bruegman; her in-laws, Arthur and Adeline Kuhlman; her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Bruegman; a daughter, Amanda; and a great-granddaughter, Bergan.
