Queen of the Rodeo

The Cedar County Rodeo Queen competition was held Saturday at the Cedar County Fairgrounds. Daityn Chase (above) dismounts for the interview portion of the Rodeo Queen Pageant on Saturday. After all contestants had a chance to ride and participate in interviews, Chase was crowned as the 2019, Cedar County Rodeo Queen. She is the daughter of Kent and Ranae Chase, Ponca. Grace Jansen (right) waves to the crowd during Saturday’s competition. The girls competed with two other area girls for the honor to represent Cedar County at Thursday night’s PRCA Rodeo here. The contestants were judged on horsemanship, interview and personality.
