WAYNE - The Wildcats season ends in the Subdistrict Semifinals, with a 71-39 loss to Ponca in Wayne. The Indians are the top seed in Class C2, and the Wildcats soon fell into a deficit that the team could not climb out of.

The HNS defense started the game strong, keeping Ponca to 16 points in the first quarter, the teams lowest amount of the four quarters. HNS soon in the second cut that lead to eight, at 18-10. That did not last long though, with those being the only points that the Wildcats would score to close out the first half.
