WAYNE — Services for Patricia K. “Pat” Thompson, 76, Wayne, were Sept. 16 at Calvary Bible Evangelical Free Church, Wayne. Visitation was Sept. 15 at the church. There will be a private family interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne. Arrangements were under the direction of Hasemann Funeral Home, Wayne. Pat died Sept. 11, 2023, at her farm home, near Wayne. Patricia Kay Thompson was born Dec. 8, 1946, to Arthur and Doris (Arduser) Lipp in Laurel. She graduated from Laurel High School in 1965, and attended Wayne State College. Pat married Larry Thompson Feb. 22, 1970, at United Methodist Church, Laurel. They briefly lived in Norfolk and Laurel, and then moved to the family farm in Wayne in 1981. She was employed at State National Bank and Trust from 1966 1972, and then was a stay-at-home mom and farmwife. In 1992, she started her employment at the Wayne State College library until 2022.

They were members of Calvary Bible Evangelical Church, Wayne.She enjoyed her time with the Ladies Monday Night Bible Study.

Pat is survived by her husband, Larry; daughters, Heather (Kevin) Reid and children, Isaiah, Ellyanna and Gabriel Reid; Samantha (Christopher) Byeand children, Emma, Elias, Zack and Ean Bye; son, Lucas (Heidi) Thompson and children, Levi, Adeline, Aliah and baby Thompson; brothers, James (Marcia) Lipp of Laurel; Dennis (Gerelda) Lipp of Wayne; nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents,Art and Doris Lipp; father-in-law, Leland Thompson; mother-in-law, Winnie Craft; step father-in-law, Elwood Craft; brother-in-law, Gene Thompson; and sister-in-law Cheryl Thompson.
