Social Distancing:

Deliberately increasing the physical space between people to avoid spreading illness. Staying at least six feet away from other people lessens a person’s chances of catching COVID-19.

Coronavirus:

A family of viruses, some of which can infect people and animals, named for crown like spikes on their surfaces. The viruses can cause the common cold or more severe diseases such as SARS, MERS, and COVID-19, the latter of which first appeared in late 2019 in Wuhan, China.

Numbers

10 - The CDC recommends that no more than 10 people gather together at any one time.

21 - as of Tuesday, Nebraska had 21 known cases of coronavirus.

75 - the number of U.S. deaths from coronavirus.

Closures and cancellations

All area schools will be shut down for at least two weeks.

FFA State Convention is cancelled

All practices for NSAA events are cancelled until at least March 30.
