Palm Sunday

Posted in:

Palm Sunday services had to be handled a little differently this year. Despite state-mandated restrictions limiting public gatherings to 10 or fewer, area residents found a unique way to start off Holy Week on Sunday. Holy Trinity Catholic Church representatives distributed palms to a waiting line of vehicles lined up on Summit, Park and Broadway streets around the church. Father Owen Korte and Deacon Roger Filips did a short service in front of the church using a loud speaker system. At least 200 cars and trucks then paraded through Hartington displaying their palms and waving at local residents.
