Oakland-Craig pounds Cedar in Top 10 match-up

Posted in:

OAKLAND — Cedar Catholic ran into a buzz saw Friday night in its second of three straight games against the top three rated teams in the state.

The gauntlet began in the seasonopener when top-rated BRLD came to town and left Russ Hochstein Field with a 38-20 win in tow.

Cedar traveled to Oakland Friday to take on second-ranked Oakland-Craig, who handed the Trojans a 50-13 setback.

This Friday, the Trojans will host David City Aquinas. The Monarchs are rated third in the state by the Omaha World Herald and Huskerland Prep Report and are rated fourth by the Lincoln Journal Star.

Despite having their third straight state-rated foe, Cattau feels good about this week’s upcoming game.
