Northeast to offer security and loss prevention course in Hartington
NORFOLK — Northeast Community College in Hartington will offer a class beginning in January that is designed for area businesspeople. Security and Loss Prevention (CRIM2350/20S & CRN #24155) will be held Mondays, Jan. 13-May 13, from 7-9:45 p.m., at Hartington-Newcastle Public School. The class will be taught via distance learning two-way interactive technology. Instructor Thomas Hardy will give participants insight into the complex problems of loss prevention in today’s society, including security staffing needs, and fire protection and control. Duties and responsibilities of security personnel, internal controls, emergency and disaster planning, and internal theft will also be addressed. This is a three credit hour class .
