HARTINGTON — The complete schedule of Saturday games was wiped off the American Legion Area 1 Tournament schedule.
Just over 1.02 inches of rain fell at Felber Park since the end of Friday night's nightcap through Saturday afternoon, making the field unplayable.
American Legion coaches, players and parents came out to work on the field moving tarps, drying the dirt and raking away mud.
Despite their best efforts, more rain just didn't allow the tournament to continue.
Saturday's full slate of games will now take place on Sunday with Crofton and Ponca starting things out at 1 p.m. Hartington and Wakefield will then play at 4 p.m, with Pender and Wisner-Pilger playing in the nightcap.
