Most Cedar County schools see an enrollment bump

HARTINGTON — Most of Cedar County’s schools saw slight enrollment increases this school year. Randolph Public School saw the biggest enrollment increase in the county as the school district has 12 more students enrolled this year compared to last year. Hartington-Newcastle saw the second largest increase in the county, as HNS enrollment saw an increase of 10 students over last year. Wynot’s total enrollment for 2019-20 consists of seven more students than last year. Cedar County’s largest school district — Laurel-Concord-Coleridge saw a small enrollment decrease this year, going from 456 students last school year, down to 453 students enrolled at LCC this school year. Cedar County’s only parochial school district — Holy Trinity - Cedar Catholic - also had an enrollment decrease this year. There were 368 students enrolled in PK-12th grade at Holy Trinity-Cedar Catholic last year. There are 360 enrolled in those grades this year.
