Mary Ann Hansen HARTINGTON — Mary Ann Hansen, 99, Hartington, died Dec. 19, 2022, at the Arbor Care Center, Hartington.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Dec. 30, at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington, with the Rev. Owen Korte officiating.

Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Hartington. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday morning at church.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington.

Pallbearers will be Wade Winkelbauer, Mason Kovar, Miles Kovar, Jeff Parker, Jarad Miller and Shawn Hansen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Delila Cooper, Sheila Schmidt, Cheri Morten, Sharon Fiscus, Judy Kuchta and Pat Meyer.

Mary Ann was born Jan. 1, 1923, in Wynot, to John and Martha (Kathol) Schulte. She graduated from elementary school at St. Helena, in 1936, and from Holy Trinity Catholic High School in 1940. Mary Ann worked as a secretary for Emergency Feed and Seed Loan Office in Hartington and also worked in Omaha. Mary Ann married Norman Albert Hansen May 4, 1944, at Saint Mary Magdeline Catholic Church, Omaha.

She loved music, square dancing, ballroom dancing, bowling, golfing and flowers. She also loved working with preschool children at Future Promise and playing cards with her lady friends.

Mary Ann is survived by her two children, Ron (Judy) Hansen, Omaha, and Jean McCorkindale, Fremont; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Shawn, Michelle, Angie, Wade and Kamile; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Norman on 10/26/2010 at the age of 90 years; son Larry Hansen; son-in-law John McCorkindale; two sisters Carola and Beverly at birth; eight brothers Wendell, Rieny, Harold, Virgil “Bud,” Earl, Jim, John, and Allen Schulte.
