Coleridge — Marjorie Kaye Brandow, 83, Coleridge, died Nov. 10, 2020, at her residence under hospice care.

Private family funeral services were held Nov. 13 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Russ Lambert officiating.

Services were also live streamed at www.facebook.com/WintzRay/live/ Face masks and social distancing were required for the visitation and funeral.

Burial was at the Hartington City Cemetery, Hartington.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Nathan Munter, Travis Munter, Jordan Frevert, Tyler Teichmeier, Blake Teichmeier, Michael Teichmeier, Michael Brandow, Joshua Lewis, Bryan Dunn, Sean Dunn, Matthew Dunn and Anthony Gauthier.

Honorary pallbearers were Kaye’s granddaughters – Megan Heiss, Nicolette Frevert, Sarah Teichmeier, Jessica Fischer, Katelyn Brandow, Racheal Lewis, Lyndsay Dunn and Lacohn Anderson.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Coleridge.

Marjorie Kaye was born Nov. 28, 1936, to Harry Rea and Mildred Alice (Curtis) Kenyon in Wessington, S.D. She grew up in Minnesota and South Dakota and graduated from Huron High School in South Dakota. Kaye began working at Western Union as a telegraph operator. She married Dwight William Brandow July 27, 1957, in Pierre, S.D. They lived in Pierre for a while prior to moving to rural Hartington where Dwight farmed. Several years later Kaye and Dwight moved to a farm west of Coleridge.

Kaye was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary, and the Pearl Creek Extension Club. She loved raising flowers and was a great cook. Kaye always had a terrific garden which led her to canning a lot of her produce. Kaye cherished her family and her grandchildren.

Kaye is survived by her husband, Dwight, Coleridge; six children and spouses, Lori Munter, O’Neill; Mary (David) Frevert, Bella Vista, Ark.; Judy (Ron) Teichmeier, Ravenna; John (Christine) Brandow, Hartington; Ann (Greg) Lewis, Coleridge; Susan (Scott) Dunn, Coleridge; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Alice (Jim) Carey, Shelton, Wash.; and a brother, Curtis (Beverly Kenyon), Marshall, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mildred Kenyon.
