Loraine was born Aug. 21, 1930, to August and Tekla (Stevens) Noecker in Bow Valley. She grew up in Bow Valley, where she attended school and then graduated from Holy Trinity High School, Hartington. Loraine taught school at Tip Top Country School for three years. She married George Feilmeier, Aug. 26, 1952, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley. They raised their seven children on a farm east of Hartington.

Loraine was a very active member of the community and her church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Christian Mothers, and Perpetual Adoration. She was a competitive bowler and golfer. She worked hard as a promoter for the Senior Center. She loved gardening, making quilts, playing cards, and crocheting. Loraine loved music and playing the piano. One of her favorite hobbies was jelly making. We never left home without a jar of jelly and were reminded to return the empty jar. It was her pride and joy to host all our family gatherings.
