Local residents hope to clean up with new business
HARTINGTON — Some local businessmen are hoping the touch of a few buttons will draw customers to their new venture.
Highway 84 Car and RV Wash opened this week with a week-long Open House. Besides special deals all week long, a Ribbon Cutting ceremony and a customer appreciation meal will be held Thursday.
The hot dogs will be served from 4-7 p.m. that day. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m.
Despite the gloomy weather, dozens of vehicles have already gone through the automatic and self-service wash bays.
The new fully- automated car wash is owned by Jackrabbit Ventures LLC. The name features the first initials of the wowners names: Jody Koch, Chrys Koch, Keith Eickhoff, Ryan Eickhoff and Brandon Eickhoff.
All five have extensive business experience.
The Eickhoffs hired Koch to build indoor climate controlled storage units in the old Ford Motor Company building in November 2016.
that's when the idea for this new venture took off.
