Linda Mae “Litzie” Meier

BELDEN - Linda Mae “Litzie” Meier, 59 Belden„ died March 10, 2021, at the Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge.

No local services are being planned at this time.

The Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge, is assisting with the arrangements.

Litzie was born May 28, 1961, at Osmond, to Linn W. and Corrine Ann (Stemper) Fiscus. She grew up in Coleridge and graduated from Coleridge High School in 1979. She began working as a nurse’s aide at the Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge, and also worked at the Colonial Manor, Randolph, and the nursing home in Wayne, until she retired in 2007 due to some health issues. She married Bruce A. Meier Sept. 13, 1997, at the United Methodist Church, Laurel, and they made their home in Belden for many years. She had been a resident of Park View Haven since Dec. 13, 2016.

Litzie had a strong work ethic and when she wasn’t working at the nursing home she cleaned homes and also did a lot of mowing.

Litzie is survived by her husband, Bruce Meier, Belden; a step daughter, Amy Lynn and Jake Morris, DeWitt, Ill.; six siblings, Dan and Sharon Fiscus, Coleridge; Keith and Lynnel Fiscus, Coleridge; Donna and Mike Hansen, Coleridge; Mike and Janelle Fiscus, Coleridge; Bruce and Kathy Fiscus, Yankton, S.D.; and Katie Neuhalfen, Laurel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carol Fiscus; a nephew, Cody Fiscus; and a niece, Robyn Hansen.
