LCC golfers host their own invitational

LAUREL — The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Lady Bears golf team hosted their own invitational Sept. 25 at the Cedarview Country Club.

The LCC varsity team placed third in the meet with a four-player team total of 405 and had four players medal in the top 10 individually.

Head coach Christina Patefield showed off some team depth as the Lady Bears entered three teams in the event, including the varsity and junior varsity 1 and junior varsity 2 teams.

The JV1 team placed fourth after shooting a 467 and the JV2 team placed fifth at 590.

Wayne won the team trophy with a total of 392 while West Holt was the runner-up after carding a 396.

Joslyn Johnson of Wayne shot the low round of the day with an 82, just one shot better than Daleni Knust of West Holt.

Clara Brummels placed fourth for the Lady Bears with a 97, Skylar Swanson was sixth with a 99, Beka Lipp was eighth after shooting a 101 and Danica Gould was 10th for the LCCJV1 with a 107.

Harper Bruning finished 11th for the varsity at 108 and Holly Patefield was 14th after carding a 111.

Kennedy Hall placed 18th for the JV1 team with a 116, Mavis Jonas was 20th with a 121, Abby Lipp came in 21st at 123 and Lily Fox was 22nd with a 124.

Lily Pehrson was 26th for the JV2 Lady Bears with a 138, Abby Tasler was 27th with a 143, Stella Kock was 28th at 145 and Tanya Miranda placed 32nd with a 164.

The Lady Bears will return to the links Sept. 29 for an invitational at Wayne before heading to districts either Oct. 2 or Oct. 3.
