LCC athletes earn L&C All-Conference honors
LAUREL — A trio of LCC basketball players received postseason recognition recently.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge junior Gibson Roberts was the lone Bear to make the Lewis and Clark Conference’s All-Conference First Team.
Three of his teammates — Tyler Olson, Carter Kvols and Kolby Hansen — were named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention Team.
A pair of Lady Bears — Rena Rasmussen, a freshman, and Mallory Eriksen, a senior, both earned Lewis and Clark All-Conference First Team honors for LCC, who finished the 2023-24 campaign with a 15-9 season record.
Two other Lady Bears — Kaida Eriksen and Tali Erwin — were named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention Team.
Three girls from the State runner-up Wynot Blue Devils and one from the Hartington-Newcastle Lady Wildcats earned Lewis and Clark All-Conference First Team honors.
Wynot seniors Kinslee Heimes and Allison Wieseler as well as sophomore Kenna Oligmueller all earned the prestigious honor for the Clark Division.
Wynot also had two seniors — Kayla Pinkelman and Myrah Sudbeck — make the All-Conference Honorable Mention Team.
Plainview and Osmond-Randolph also had two players each on the First Team. Bloomfield and Creighton each landed one girl on the First Team.
The boys’ Lewis Division team was dominated by Ponca. The Indians landed three players on the First Team. Wakefield and Walthill each had two First Team selections.
