Man calls and makes several nonsensical statements including describing where he lives, says to “tell Larry Koranda he’s fired,” several people “owe” him, insurance, “I want my job back,” “Trump is a good president,” another person needs to be arrested, “Larry is a good guy, he needs to call me back,” and “My brother drives the wrong colored tractor.” Man calls three more times and repeats some of his original statements.

Two 911 calls made by mistake. Man gets number for tow truck service near Laurel.

Man asks for officers to respond to his home for a youth “belligerent and combative.” Dispatcher could hear screaming and muffled hitting in the background. Man says, “I don’t have time for your questions just get someone over here now,” and hangs up. Juvenile taken into emergency protective custody.

Woman calls to report hearing what sounded like gunshots near her Laurel home. Officer investigates, thinks it might be a resident who likes to play with firecrackers. Another resident also heard the noise and thought it sounded like firecrackers.

April 11: Issues arise when attempting to take juvenile from previous day’s calls into emergency protective custody due to age, several calls back and forth to parents. Child Protective Services involved.

Four 911 calls made by mistake. Abandoned vehicle reported on Highway 84. Pharmacy calls about inmate’s prescription.

Hartington Rescue transports a patient to Sioux Falls, S.D., hospital.

Controlled fire reported. Caller requests vehicle inspection. Nebraska State Patrol relays information received about a semi southbound on Highway 81 traveling too slow and vehicles aren’t able to pass.

Three calls come in for a fire in ditch and traveling across highways at Highway 84 and 81 junction.

Man reports student left school and won’t return.

Woman reports dogs missing. Cows reported out in rural Coleridge.

Fire reported in ditch near Crofton, Hartington Fire responds as Crofton is at another call, no fire found. About three minutes later fire found to have flared from an old controlled burn.

Deputy serves protection order. Former inmate calls to inquire about an inmate he met while serving time, dispatcher says there’s no one in jail by the name provided.

Woman alleges her ex-husband stole her dog from her Norfolk home, dispatch advises her to file a report

with the Norfolk Police Department. “Some good you guys are. We pay you to sit around and do nothing,” woman says and then hangs up.

Woman calls for assistance as she has a flat tire near Crofton, tow truck called.

April 12: Rescue unit called to Randolph facility for man with medical issue, transported to Osmond hospital.

Man inquires about noise ordinance, complains his neighbor likes to “bang on stuff” early in the morning.

Man reports controlled burn flared up, has water on it and is managing it.
