Lady Wildcats roll over LCC, Bloomfield

LAUREL - Hartington-Newcastle has now won eight straight matches without losing a set after earning two more wins at a triangular in Laurel on Thursday night.

HNS defeated Bloomfield 25-10 25-10 and LCC 25-21 25-16 in the two wins.

Abbe Morten led the way with a spectacular night that included 11 ace serves against LCC. She also led her team in kills against Bloomfield with seven.

Morten was followed by Kayden Jueden and Belle Harms each earning six kills against Bloomfield. Jueden led the team against LCC with 14 kills. Meanwhile, Harms led the team in blocks in both games with two against Bloomfield and three against LCC.

With the win, HNS improves to 15-2 on the season.

The girls next took to the court on Monday at Randolph. This week, HNS travels to Ponca on Thursday for a triangular with the host and Walthill. HNS also hosts LCC on Saturday night. HNS finishes off a regular season schedule on Tuesday, hosting Winside and Emerson-Hubbard in a triangular.
