Lady Blue Devils improve to 9-2

WYNOT — The Wynot Lady Blue Devils posted a 2-1 record last week to move to 9-2 on the year.

Wynot’s only two losses on the season have come at the hands of C2 teams. The Lady Devils fell to Crofton in the first weekend of September. Last Tuesday, the Lady Devils tasted defeat again, falling to Wakefield.

The Lady Devils dominated Lyons Decatur Northeast Tuesday night to earn a three-set win.

Amber Lawson and Allison Wieseler paced the team at the net, slamming down nine kills each against Lyons Decatur NE. The offense was set up by Myrah Sudbeck, who dished out 13 assists in the contest.

Ella Brummer paced the Blue Devil defense with 15 digs, while Amber Lawson helped out with four blocks.

On Thursday, the Lady Devils struggled, falling to Wakefield in straight sets and needing an additional set to dispatch LCC.

Wynot played in a triangular Tuesday night in Ponca.

The Lady Devils will be in action again when they travel to Homer Thursday night.
