Kenneth Alan “Ken” Doxtad

HELOTES, Texas — Kenneth Alan “Ken” Doxtad, 78, Helotes, Texas, died June 14, 2019, peacefully at home.

Visitation will be on Saturday one hour prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington

Funeral Services will be June 29, at 10 a.m., at the Faith Lutheran Church, Maskell, with the Rev. Chad Beckius officiating.

Burial will be at the Lime Creek Cemetery, Maskell.

Pallbearers will be Rick Bachleda, Justin Bachleda, Joshua Bachleda,

Leon Doxtad, Paul Goodman and Mark

Mitchell.

Kenneth was born in Emerson Oct. 16, 1940, to parents, Henry Albert and Kathryn Amanda Von Seggern Doxtad. He was married to Janice Irene Nelson Doxtad March 18, 1961. Ken worked at Kodak for 32 years. After retirement, he spent his time working at H&R Block for 19 years during tax season, working on projects at his church, and spent time working on rental properties. He loved to travel. He and his wife traveled extensively with family and friends throughout the United States and all over the world.

He was a faithful member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. As a man who valued quality time, he loved his family, his church, and being around other people. His hobbies included watching softball, working on his Dodge Dart, and rebuilding and tinkering with his John Deere tractor. He always took care of his family and friends along with being a loving and giving husband and father.

Ken is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice Irene Nelson Doxtad; daughters, Julie Mae Doxtad Goodman, Ruth Amanda Wright, Sherri Dawn Bachleda and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Abigail Irene Goodman, Amanda Kay Goodman, Paul Alan Goodman, Ashley June Wright, Erica Jordan Wright, Shelby Whitney Martin and husband, Cris; Courtney Layne Bachleda, Justin Tyler Bachleda and wife, Faith; and Joshua Ryan Bachleda; great-granddaughter, Peyton Ryleigh Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who brought joy to his life.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Janell Irene Doxtad; and son, Jon Alan Doxtad.
