Kelly J. Burbach

COLERIDGE — Kelly J. Burbach, 60, Coleridge, died Dec. 17, 2019, east of Hartington, as a result of a grain bin accident.

Mass of Christian Burial was Dec. 21 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington, with Rev. Owen Korte officiating.

Burial will be held in Lincoln, at a later date.

Visitation and a vigil service were Friday at church.

Pallbearers were Jonathon Robinson, Corbin Burbach, Keith Kramer, Paul Burbach, Seth Pokorny and Cody Burbach. Honorary pallbearers were Kelly’s goddaughters Amanda Crooks, Daesha Pesek and Jessica Rosseau.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington.

Kelly John Burbach was born July 18, 1959, in Coleridge, to Roman Henry and Roseline Christine (Guenther) Burbach. He grew up in the Bow Valley area and was the middle child of 11 siblings. Kelly graduated from Wynot High School in 1977. He worked for area farmers out of high school and then farmed for a few years with his brother, Dale. He married Beth Eileen Wagner June 27, 1991, in Bow Valley. Kelly farmed on his own near Laurel and later helped area farmers. He enjoyed working with Hansen Farms for the past 11 years.

Kelly was a former member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. His passion was farming and going home to his family.

He is survived by his wife, Beth, Coleridge; three children, David (Cayle) Burbach, and son, Henry, Lincoln; Becky Burbach, Lincoln; and Travis Burbach, Lincoln; 10 siblings, Esther Robinson, Yankton, S.D.; Donovan (Deena) Burbach, Hastings; Arlene (Steve) Kramer, Omaha,;Dale (Mary) Burbach, Crofton; Beverly (Don) Hoebelheinrich, Yankton, S.D.; Floyd (Julie) Burbach, Tabor, S.D.; Norma (Bruce) Pokorny, Yankton, S.D.; Leo Burbach and Bonnie Hisek, Yankton, S.D.; Arlo Burbach, Scotland, S.D.; and Lee Burbach and Karri Halstead, Malcolm.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Roseline Burbach; brother-in-law, Rodney Robinson; and nephew, James Robinson.
