Joyce Carole (Bonneau) Daberkow

LINCOLN — Joyce Carole (Bonneau) Daberkow, 77, died Oct. 29, 2021, in Lincoln.

Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Nov. 3, at Roper and Sons Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Nov. 4, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln. Interment will be 3 p.m., at Laurel Cemetery, Laurel.

Joyce was born in Oakland Dec. 25, 1943, to Russell and Ruth (Epperson) Bonneau. Joyce graduated from Rosalie High School in 1962, and she married Delwyn Ernst Daberkow at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rosalie, Nov. 10, 1963. She was a compassionate person who loved her family, always making an effort to spend time with her children and especially her grandchildren. Over her lifetime, she had an in-home daycare, worked at the first Pizza Ranch in Laurel, and even operated the Rejoice Corner Café for a few years, also in Laurel. Joyce retired to Lincoln in 2011, to be closer to her three youngest grandchildren.

She was a member of the LWML at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln, and her favorite hobbies were collecting butterflies, reading books and baking.

She is survived by husband, Delwyn; children, Patricia (Michael) Sherman, Belden; Tina Daberkow, Lincoln; Kelly Daberkow, West Point ;and Lacey (Jacob) Gabig, Lincoln; grandchildren, Tyler Sherman, Red Cloud; Dalyce (Stephen) Eastman, Mililani, Hawaii; Audrey Daberkow, West Point, attending Chadron State College; Nickolas Daberkow, West Point; and Kyle, Logan and Holden Gabig, all of Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Rosalie Eastman, Mililani, Hawaii; siblings, Ruthann Bargmann, Bancroft; Leroy Bonneau, Lincoln; Paula (Ronald) Blank, Inwood, Iowa; Karen Bonneau, Omaha; Shirley Bonneau, Omaha; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Bonneau, Bancroft.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kyle; brothers, Robert and Paul; sister, Grace; brother-in-law, Derald “PeeWee” Bargmann; and sister-in-law, Carol (Slaughter) Bonneau.
