Joseph Walter Klus

HARTINGTON — Joseph Walter Klus, 72, Hartington, died May 8, 2018, at the Avera Sister James Care Center, Yankton, S.D. No Memorial services are being planned for Joseph at this time. Arrangements were under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. Joseph Walter Klus was born March 15, 1946, in Newark, N.J., to Paul and Julia (Buzch) Klus. He grew up in Cedar Grove, N.J., until the eighth grade and then moved to Los Angeles, Calif. Joseph received his High School GED while serving in the military. He was in the Army during the Vietnam War from June 1964-July 1967. Joseph was a Truck Driver and worked for Werner Enterprises. Joe married Betty Lenore Hubbard. He worked as a janitor for Cedar Catholic at the Monsignor Cyril Werner Activity Center from July 2013-Dec. 31, 2017. Joseph is survived by his wife, Betty, Hartington.
