John P. Sullivan

RANDOLPH — Mass of Christian Burial for John P. Sullivan, 74, Randolph, will be 10:30 a.m., March 28, at St. Frances Catholic Church, Randolph. Rev. Timothy Forgét will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation and a vigil service were Tuesday at the church. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements. John died March 22, 2018, at Faith Regional Health Services, Norfolk. John was born Aug. 24, 1943, to John and Alice (Hillen) Sullivan at Laurel. He graduated from St. Frances High School, Randolph in 1961. In 1963, John married Judith Starkel at St. Frances Catholic Church, Randolph. They raised livestock for many years on an acreage northeast of Randolph until moving to town in 2010. He was employed as a livestock inspector with the Department of Agriculture for 34 years retiring in 2008. John loved playing cards and attending all of his grandchildren’s events. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and was a church server. John is survived by his wife Judy; his son, Patrick Sullivan, Norfolk, and daughter, Mary (Ron) Rupprecht, Clarkson; and six grandchildren, Nicole Sullivan, Erika Rupprecht, Rachel Rupprecht, Caleb Sullivan, Bethany Rupprecht and Bridget Rupprecht; brothers, Rich (Kathy) Sullivan, Norfolk, and Gene (Jo) Sullivan, Randolph; sister in-law, Lynette Sullivan, Norfolk. He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Ashley Kuether and Wade Sullivan; and brother, Ronnie Sullivan.
