ELKHORN — Joanne (Tuttle) Lubberstedt, 84, Elkhorn, died, Jan. 10, 2024, at Garden View Mannor, Elkhorn.

Visitation was Jan. 17 at Roeder Mortuary, Omaha.

Funeral services were Jan. 18, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Omaha, with Rev. Marta Wheeler and Rev. Faith Kubai officiating.

Interment was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha.

Pallbearers were Devin Larsen, Connor Larsen, Brendan Larsen, Aidan Larsen, Emily Schoettger and Natalie Schoettger.

Joanne was born May 15, 1939, in Laurel to Walter and Fern (Dickey) Tuttle.

She married M. Dean Lubberstedt June 25, 1960, at the Methodist Church in Laurel. He died Dec. 19, 2016. Joanne was a graduate of Laurel High School and went on to earn her BS in Education from Wayne State College. She taught first grade in Omaha Public Schools for over 30 years.

She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Omaha; was active in American Association of University Women, Kappa Kappa Iota, OARSEA, and the Douglas County Historical Society, where she took an antiques class for many years with her fellow retired teachers Survivors include her daughters, Bobbi (Doug) Larsen, Omaha, and Shelli (Chad) Schoettger, Louisville, Colo.;grandchildren, Devin (Taylor) Larsen, Arlington, Va.; Connor Larsen, Omaha; Brendan Larsen, Orlando, Fla.; Aidan Larsen, Omaha; Emily Schoettger, Louisville, Colo.; and Natalie Schoettger, Louisville, Colo.; brother, Gary Tuttle, Papillion, nephews, and other family members and friends Preceding her in death are her parents, Walter and Fern Tuttle; and her husband, M. Dean Lubberstedt.
