NORFOLK — Jerry M. and Karen K. Sievers, both 65, Norfolk, died April 14, 2024.

Memorial services were April 19 at First United Methodist Church, Randolph. Visitation was April 18 also at First United Methodist Church. Arrangements were under the direction of Hasemann Funeral Home,Wayne. Interment, with Military Rites, was at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery,Norfolk Karen Kay Sievers was born March 7, 1959, in Osmond, to Gerald Lloyd and Karolyn Kay (Beltz) Stevens. She was a 1977 graduate of Randolph High School and a 1985 graduate of Northeast Community College,Norfolk.

Jerry Merlin Sievers was born June 13, 1958, in Osmond, to Merlin Adolph and Kathryn Elaine (Johnson) Sievers. He was a 1976 graduate of Wayne High School and a 1983 graduate of Northeast Community College.

Karen and Jerry were married Nov. 3, 1979, at the United Methodist Church, Randolph. The couple lived in Woodland Park,near Norfolk. Karen worked in food service at the Woodland Park Elementary School and Jerry was a truck driver and farmer in Randolph, on the family farm.

Jerry and Karen loved to attend their grandkids’ events and traveling on their motorcycle with friends. Spending time with family was a passion as well as helping on the family farm.

They were members of the United Methodist Church in Randolph. As Patriotic community members, they were top supporters as volunteers with the Nation of Patriots of Nebraska, with the privilege of carrying the American Flag in honoring many fellow veterans; the American Legion Riders Post #249 of Bloomfield; and the Wing’d Riders of Norfolk.

Jerry and Karen’s family include their children, Malinda (Gregory) Villwok, Randolph; Malissa Miller (fiancee’, Brian Wingert), Walthill; and Jacob (Amanda) Sievers, Randolph; grandchildren, Addison Villwok, Broken Bow; Cadein Villwok, Randolph; Joseph Miller, Meghann Miller and Joshua Miller, Randolph; and Kathryn Sievers, Randolph; Karen’s mother, Karolyn Stevens, Randolph;Karen’s siblings, Donald (Sally) Stevens, Suprise, Ariz.; and Dan (Pam) Stevens, Overland Park, Kan.; nieces and nephews. Jerry’s are siblings, Marilyn Ryan, Fremont; Ginny Hansen, Henderson, Nev.; and Jeremy Sievers, Fremont; nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her grandparents;father, Gerald, in 2013; and brother, David, in 1998.

Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents;mother, Kathryn, in 2010; and father, Merlin, in 2016.
