Despite the pandemic, Hartington-Newcastle students did their best to enjoy themselves during Homecoming Week. Special dress up days took place all week and coronation and the pep rally all went on — but with some changes. The traditional parade through downtown was cancelled, as well as the dance. A drive-in movie was held at the Fairgrounds in place of the dance. The coronation ceremony was held Friday afternoon in the school gym with a very limited audience in attendance and spectators and participants wore masks. Isaac Bruning and Makenna Clarkson were crowned as the 2020 Homecoming King and Queen.
