Hoesing picks up 100th win

ATKINSON — Cedar Catholic senior Eric Hoesing hit a big milestone last week.

Hoesing, the school’s alltime wins leader in wrestling, recorded his 100th win when he pinned Crofton-Bloomfield’s Hunter Hegge in :52 in Thursday’s Triangular.

Cedar Catholic’s lack of depth kept the Trojans from having a chance at a team victory, even though Cedar ended up posting a 2-2 record in head-to-head competition against Crofton-Bloomfield.

Cedar only managed one win against the host Huskies.

Weather forced Cedar miss out on their scheduled invitational Saturday at Battle Creek. The Trojans were in action again Tuesday at Scribner-Snyder for a double-dual, which included West Point Guardian Angels.
