HNS Wildcats steamroll past Wausa

Posted in:

WAUSA — The Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats made the short trip to Wausa a successful one last Tuesday.

The Cats jumped out front early and never looked back enroute to a 71-41 victory over Wausa.

HNS set the tempo early with a 27-9 first-quarter scoring advantage, then set it on cruise control after that.

The Cats were led in the contest by Shaye Morten’s game-high 25 points. Sam Harms and Isaac Bruning also hit for double-figures, each nailing 10 on the night.

Harms led the Purple Cats on the board, cleaning the glass for seven rebounds.
