HNS earns District One Act title

NEWCASTLE — The Hartington-Newcastle One Act Play troupe won the District C2-4 title here Tuesday to earn the right to try and defend their 2018 State title.
The local troupe was rewarded by judges for its excellent performance of the play, "Young Frankenstein."
Homer earned District runner-up honors, while Boyd County took third.
The HNS team is comprised of almost 60 kids – 46 in the cast. Supt. A.J. Johnson directs the team.
HNS will now compete Thursday, Dec. 12, in the Class C2 State Meet at the Johnny Carson Theatre at Norfolk High School.
