Hartington Seniors split pair of games

PONCA— The Hartington American Legion Seniors split a pair of games in recent action, defeating Ponca, 5-1, but falling to Neligh 8-5 in League action. Hartington now stands at 4-8 on the year.
Seth Wiebelhaus powered Hartington to the win over Ponca, collecting three hits on the night. He also drove in a pair of runs.
Wiebelhaus got things going in the first frame when he smacked a first-inning double past the defense to drive in Brady Steffen. Wiebelhaus smacked another double in the third frame, then worked his way around the bases to score, giving Hartington a 2-0 advantage after three innings.
