LINCOLN — Gladys Divis Ferris, 85, Lincoln, died June 11, 2018.
Visitation was one hour prior to service time.
Funeral services were June 15 at Roper and Sons’ South Lincoln Chapel, Lincoln.
Arrangements were under the direction of Roper and Sons Funeral Services.
Born Oct. 4, 1932, in Hartington, to Roy A. and Mildred L. (Swick) Rasmussen, Gladys retired in 1994 as secretary for Roper and Sons Funeral Services, Lincoln.
Gladys was a member of First-Plymouth Congregational Church, American Legion Auxiliary and former member of Extension Club, “the 49ers.”
Family members include her daughters, M. Jane (Tim) Langdon, Harrison, Ark.; Marcia J. Ryan, Fullerton, Calif.; and Barbara (Douglas) Gray, Springfield, Ohio; sons, Tim (Claudia) Divis, Oak Park, Ill.; Jon M. Divis (Gene Reilly), Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; and Tyler J. Divis, Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, Lucille Bailey, Matthew Gray, Katherine Morris, Diane Norris, Matthew Ryan, and Jacqueline Lawrence; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Alex Gray, Vera and Elise Bailey, and Watson Lawrence; sister, Bonnie Trauerman, East Palatka, Fla.; and step daughters, M. Jane Hunzeker, Wahoo, and Jill Berry, Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, F. L. Divis and James W. Ferris; parents, Roy and Mildred Rasmussen; brother, Ray L. Rasmussen; sisters, Doris S. Rasmussen and Darlene M. Sullivan; and step daughter, Julie Severin.
Memorials may be directed to the Lincoln Food Bank Backpack Program at First-Plymouth Church.
