Gene Paul Hydinger

LOVELAND, Colo. — Gene Paul Hydinger, 77, Loveland, Colo., died Oct.19, 2018, at the Medical Center of the Rockies, Loveland.

A viewing was held Oct. 26 at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Funeral services were at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Loveland.

Resthaven Funeral Home, Loveland, was in charge of arrangements.

Gene was born in Hartington, to Paul and Corinne Hydinger. He was raised on the family farm and had fond memories of his childhood. Gene’s

love for the beautiful Rocky Mountains brought him to reside in Colorado as an adult. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, camping, golfing, and walking in the autumn aspen gold. He was a business owner, starting Gene’s Lawn Service in 1993, which grew to become All Seasons Grounds Maintenance. Even after retirement he remained active in his business and was well known in the community.

Gene dedicated his life to his God Jehovah May 19, 1991, and became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

During his life he served as an elder, publisher of the good news, and a faithful brother in the congregation. He thoroughly enjoyed his time in the ministry, sharing with others his bible based hope of the return of a paradise earth. It was this hope that gave him comfort and strength in the face of his recent illnesses, knowing he would be reunited with his loved ones through the resurrection of the dead, as Jesus promised (John 5:28, 29).

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen, and his children, Daniel, Brett, Curt, Sean, April (Neuhaus) and Justin (Slidell). He is additionally survived by a brother, James Hydinger, along with 11 grandchildren and four nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity and his warm smile. He was tremendously loved and will be greatly missed by all.
