Felber Park to host State qualifier
Hartington will open tourney play at 7 p.m. on Friday
HARTINGTON — The Hartington American Legion Post 4 Senior Baseball team is set to host the Class C Area 1 Senior Baseball Tournament July 21-26 at Hartington’s Felber Park Baseball Field.
According to unofficial brackets, Post 4’s 12-9 season record was good enough to earn the No. 1 seed in the tournament. Hartington will open action against the No. 6 seed, Wisner-Pilger, at 7 p.m. on July 21.
Other first round match ups include No. 2 Creighton-Bloomfield- Plainview and No. 5 Ponca at 1 p.m. July 21; and No. 3 Crofton and No. 4 Stanton at 4 p.m. July 21.
The winner of the Hartington/Wisner-Pilger contest will take on the loser of the game between Crofton and Stanton game July 22.
The CBP/Ponca winner will play the winner of Crofton/Stanton on July 22 while the two loser’s of those two games will play in an elimination game on July 22.
The tournament will continue until a final winner is crowned on July 26.
Gordon-Rushville will host the 2023 Class C Nebraska Senior Legion Tournament July 29 through Aug. 2.
