ST. LIBORY — Enzo DePaoli, 93, St. Libory, died Feb. 16, 2018. Private family services were held at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home, St. Paul, with the Rev. Sid Bruggeman officiating. Further services and inurnment will be held in Porterville, Calif. Enzo was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Lanare, Calif., a first generation American to Guiseppe and Barbara (Ciet) DePaoli. He served in the 77th Infantry 305 Regiment while in U.S. Army during World War II and landed with the first assault wave on le Shima and then continued to fight onto and in the Okinawa campaign. He married Twyla Wilson Aug. 4, 1951, in Porterville. Enzo worked as a carpenter for many years in the Porterville area and helped his parents with their dairy farm eventually taking it over in 1966. Enzo loved to go to dances when he was younger especially with his cousins, tending to his garden and olive trees and spending time with his family especially his four grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Leah and (Chris) Estrela, St. Libory, and Anne and (Brian) Kearns,Ventura, Calif.; four grandchildren, Annalisa Estrela, Gretna; Jami and (David) Brandow, Hordville; Brendan Kearns, Charleston, S.C.; and Lorenzo Kearns Ventura, Calif.; and a sister, Hilda Vaughn, San Carlos, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Twyla.
