Douglas Earl Hofeldt

McKINNEY, Texas — Douglas Earl Hofeldt, McKinney, Texas, 72, died May 3, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at Turrentine- Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation Wednesday. Douglas was born Nov. 24, 1945, to Albert Hofeldt and Fern (Wheeler) Hofeldt in Sioux City, Iowa. Douglas was a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi. He was a self–employed financial consultant working in and around Lincoln for many years. He retired in Texas; living in Austin and most recently McKinney to be closer to his family. He is survived by his son, Travis Hofeldt, and wife, Kelli, McKinney, Texas; daughter, Tanya Spratt, and husband, Seth, Omaha; grandchildren, Jackson Hofeldt, Benjamin Hofeldt, and Lauren Hofeldt; and brother, Claude Hofeldt, Coleridge. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Fern Hofeldt, Coleridge.
