Dora Bertha Hansen

COLERIDGE — Dora Bertha Hansen, 101, Coleridge, died June 27, 2018, at the Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge.
Funeral Services were June 30 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Coleridge, with Rev. Russ Lambert officiating.
Burial was in the Lawn Ridge Cemetery, Coleridge. Visitation was June 26 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge, and continued Saturday at the church
Pallbearers were Dan Hansen, Scott Hansen, Arlan Hansen, Mike Nelson, Bob Krejci, and Brent DeVries.
Dora was born Dec.3, 1916, in Coleridge, to William Dietrich and Mary Sophia (Ordeman) Papenhausen. She grew up and attended school in Coleridge. On Dec. 21, 1938, Dora married Ivan M. Hansen in Coleridge. The two of them farmed together southeast of Coleridge for the majority of their lives. In 1981, they moved from their farm home into Coleridge. On Jan. 9, 2007, Ivan died at the age of 89. That same year, Dora moved to the Embers Assisted Living Center, where she lived until 2017, when she moved to Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge.
Dora was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and was active in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Women. As an active member of this group, she was involved in bible study, service projects, and educational meetings. Dora enjoyed bowling and playing cards.
Dora is survived by her two sons, Vern Hansen, Phoenix, Ariz.; Don and Linda Hansen, Coleridge; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan M. Hansen; a sister, Anna Nelson; a brother, Frederick Papenhausen; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Hansen; and son, Kenny Hansen.
